“The Ontañón Winery-Museum is an artisan-family winery located in La Rioja since 1984, converted into a temple of wine culture thanks to the Riojan artist Miguel Ángel Sáinz. It has stained glass windows, paintings and sculptures that will flood you with light and history. It came through Mythology, which is the common thread of the visit. To complete the visit, Ontañón will offer you its greatest treasure: its wines. You will be able to taste the passion and the work invested in each bottle, from the vineyard to your glass.”

Currently, the Ontañón Winery-Museum has a long experience in Rioja viticulture and grows 180 hectares of vineyard property recognized for their characteristic microclimates. This ensures the quality of their wines year after year.

The winery has a permanent exhibition of the artist Riojano Miguel A.Sainz Jiménez (1955-2002), where the visitor is immersed in the magical world of mythology, culture and winemaking. In the labyrinth of its rooms, where barrels and bottles rest, the characters emerge from an imaginary world that marked the future of the Mediterranean peoples.

In addition, in every corner of Ontañón you will find allegorical stained glass windows that remind the visitor of the penumbras and the colors of the medieval cathedrals, those cathedrals that the pilgrims traveled on the Camino de Santiago “Campus Stellae”.
