BODEGAS SOLANA DE RAMÍREZ RUIZ

The winery built in sandstone is very well integrated with the beautiful landscapes and artistic monuments of Ábalos. The annual production goes from 400 to 500 thousand bottles of red, white and rosé wine, coming from the family farm. The wines are elaborated with careful artisan mime, being the result very natural, tasty and with character wines, that consumed without excess can be beneficial for the health.

Currently we cultivate 50 hectares of vineyards, in the municipalities of Ábalos and San Vicente de la Sonsierra (Rioja Alta), 70% tempranillo, 30% graciano, viura and other varieties, located north to south from the foot of the Sierra Cantabria until the vicinity of the river Ebro.

The earth is calcareous clay, which together with the existing micro-climate, influenced by the Cantabrian and Mediterranean air, make this area ideal to produce wines of excellent quality.
