The vineyards are ours and are distributed in Cenicero and Uruñuela, with an average age of 30 years, some of them being centenarians, from which their most selected wines are made.
From its beginnings until today, the Artacho Leza family is the one that carries out an exhaustive monitoring of its vineyards from pruning to harvesting, taking care of them throughout the year.
The young wines are made by carbonic maceration in open lakes, maintaining the laborious treading of the grape to extract the must, a technique used since ancient generations.
A few years ago they started raising their wines; wines made with the best selection of grapes.
The subsequent monitoring and care of the wine together with its permanence for one year in american oak barrels will do the rest, obtaining wines with personality and uniqueness that are distinguished by their flavor and aroma, reflecting the good work of the winery.
WINE TOURISM
We think that the best way to tell everything that happens in the vineyard and in the winery is that you come to know us, and for that we have prepared a proposal so that you can live it in person: to begin the visit, we go to the vineyard as a vine grower, so you can see what cycle the vine is in, and show you on the spot the care it requires (cycle of the vine and its care), because this is where it begins.
Then we return to the winery to take a guided tour of its facilities. You can see a projection of images from the vineyard to the bottle to understand better the whole process of making the wines. Finally you will enjoy a tasting of two of our most representative wines accompanied by an aperitif.
