2018 Rioja Roadshow will come to Wuhan, Ningbo which organized by Rioja China Agency in June. There will be almost 70 Rioja wineries show on the event with over 300 kinds of wine.
As we know, D.O.Ca Rioja is the oldest, most important and most famous DO in Spain, and one of the world’s top wine regions. The overall sales of Rioja is 42 million boxes (9 bottles of each box) in 2017, totally in 283 million litres. Rioja now exports 4.3 million litres a year to China and China is Rioja’s 5th international market and still growing.
We will see Rioja high quality wine on the exhibition from some famous wineries. Such as La Rioja Alta, Bodegas Muga, CVNE, Bodegas Bilbainas 4 wineries from Haro which has over hundred years history. These wineries not only make traditional Rioja wine but also new style Rioja wine.
Some boutique wineries like Bodegas Contador and Remirez de Ganuza also going to exhibit on the roadshow. Wine makers of these 2 wineries – Benjamin Romeo and Fernando Ganuza are pioneers of making new style Rioja wine. Their wines won 100 points in the Parker and visitors may have chance to taste them in this roadshow.
Visitors of Wuhan and Ningbo will also taste the 2018 WINE100 Black Golden wine from Viña Heremia.
