2025 D.O.Ca. Rioja Centennial Vintage — Slightly Lower Yield but Outstanding Quality

On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, D.O.Ca. Rioja official data indicate that the 2025 vintage grapes are healthy and show outstanding winemaking potential.

As of October 28, 2025, a total of approximately 225 million kilograms of grapes had been harvested, including 192 million kilograms of red grapes and 33.8 million kilograms of white grapes.

During the harvest, the region issued six official maturity and health monitoring reports, which collectively show that:

  • Overall grape health is excellent, with uniform berries, firm skins, and minimal disease.
  • The grapes demonstrate excellent winemaking potential and consistent quality.

Compared with the 2024 annual report (total harvest approximately 276 million kilograms), the 2025 vintage shows a slightly lower yield, while maturity and health indicators suggest even higher quality. This combination of “lower quantity but superior quality” makes the 2025 vintage particularly significant in this centennial year.

Conclusion:
Official monitoring data for the 2025 vintage demonstrate a “slightly lower yield but outstanding quality” profile, reflecting the region’s heritage and precise management practices. These figures provide reliable reference for both the Chinese and global markets, highlighting the winemaking potential and quality advantages of D.O.Ca. Rioja in its centennial vintage.
