Rioja’s “Vineyard Variable Monitoring and Harvest Prediction Model” was recognized as one of the “100 Best Ideas of the Year.” This system integrates historical yield data, weather information, and remote sensing imagery, analyzing over 1,600 growth-related variables to achieve real-time monitoring and forecasting across vineyard plots. Based on this, additional control measures were implemented, including setting maximum yield allocations per municipality for red grapes, with details recorded in each grower’s “Viticulturist Card.” AI played a key role in data analysis, yield prediction, and decision support, ensuring management was precise, transparent, and traceable.
