On December 12, the 2025 Rioja Winter Roadshow successfully concluded in Qingdao, Xi’an, and Beijing, alongside the Rioja Awards Gala held during the same period. The series of events brought together representatives from wineries, importers, media, certified educators, Rioja Ambassadors, and industry professionals, while also attracting a wide range of local distributors and trade members, further supporting the continued expansion and visibility of Rioja wines in the Chinese market.

 

 

The year 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of Rioja’s designation as a DO (Denominación de Origen) appellation. Since receiving official recognition in 1925, Rioja has steadily strengthened its regulatory framework, advanced winemaking practices, and deepened its expression of terroir, establishing a strong and lasting presence within the global wine industry. To commemorate this centenary milestone, Rioja has carried out a series of promotional and commemorative initiatives across multiple countries and regions, with China serving as one of its key international markets.

 

 

In China, Rioja has continued to strengthen engagement with both the trade and consumers through city roadshows, industry exchanges, and media group visits to Rioja , further reinforcing brand awareness and market influence.

As a key component , the Rioja Awards Gala recognised outstanding Rioja importers who have demonstrated long-term commitment and excellence in promoting Rioja wines in the Chinese market. Official certifications were presented to acknowledge their contributions to market development and brand communication.
