Our Wineries
Are you planning a getaway? Choose the wineries you would like to visit in Rioja.
In 1896, Carlos Serres founded the first Haro winery registered as an export merchant, with the aim of making his wines satisfy the best international palates. The old building was located in the Barrio de La Estación de Haro. There, Carlos Serres applied the techniques of production and aging inherited from his country of origin, and gave the winery a commercial component that promoted the internationalization of its wines. In the mid-twentieth century, the growing needs of the winery and the lack of space forced the transfer of the same to its new location, where it is located today.
The winery respects the historical and traditional legacy transmitted by its founder. The concrete deposits ensure a perfect preservation of the maximum fruit expression of each variety by the continuous micro-oxygenation that occurs naturally by its porors. From the Bordelian style implanted by Carlos Serres, the barrels of american and french oak of the best cooperages transpose those spicy and lactic notes in a totally new ship, where 5,000 barrels rest. All in an architectural style that fuses a centennial history with contemporary style.
