Drinks International, the famous British wine magazine, has released its “World’s Most Admired Wine Brands 2024” list, listing the 50 most admired wine brands in the world. There are 10 Spanish brands on the list, 6 of which are from Rioja.

 

 

The 10 Spanish wine brands on the list are very strong, with Familia Torres at the top of the list.

 

For Rioja, there are six Rioja wineries on the list: CVNE, La Rioja Alta, Faustino, Maqués Del Riscal, Ramon Bilbao and Campo Viejo. It is worth mentioning that two of the Spanish brands included in the list, Torres and Vega Sicilia, also have wineries and produce wines in the Rioja.

 

 

The Rioja brands on the shortlist are characterized by tradition, modernity and diversity, which is one of the main reasons why Rioja wines are so popular with consumers around the world. Rioja wineries and brands were chosen for the list because of the importance of the terroir, the respect for nature, the spirit of tradition and innovation, and the consistency and quality of the wines, which are the strengths of the DOCa Rioja and which have always characterized the region as a world-leading wine region.
