In November 2017, the wine media Decanter held its 4th Fine Wine Encounter in Shanghai.
Today we want to share with Rioja lovers the great success of the D.O.Ca. Rioja wines in that competition:
There were a total of 48 Spanish wines that won awards, and 32 of them were from D.O.Ca. Rioja. That is 67% of all the Wines from Spain that won awards!
It is pretty clear who is the leader in Spain right?
One wine won Best in Show:
Two Rioja wines won Platinum medals:
Best Red Rioja Reserva – Bodegas Ondarre Reserva 2014
Best Red Rioja Gran Reserva – Bodegas Corral Don Jacobo Gran Reserva 2004
One Rioja wine won a Gold medal:
Bodegas Campillo Gran Reserva 2009
And 28 Rioja wines won Silver medals.
